Background

  • Build and maintain a highly intuitive and usable frontend interface for satellite mission operations
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend/platform engineers to develop and refine features
  • Build reusable React components using Typescript and modern frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Refine)
  • Integrate frontend components with APIs (GraphQL, REST)
  • Contribute to design in Figma; collect and respond to stakeholder feedback
  • Ensure best practices in frontend security, resilience, and maintainability
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and test suite development
  • Engage with users to gather feedback and measure product usage to inform continuous improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 3+ years of professional frontend development experience (exceptional self-taught or nontraditional candidates welcome with demonstrated skill)
  • Strong professional experience with React 18 +TypeScript building modular, reusable components and hooks
  • Production experience with Next.js (routing/layouts, SSR/SSG/ISR as applicable) and modern frontend build tooling (Vite)
  • Strong UI/UX sensibilities, with the ability to translate complex workflows into simple, elegant interfaces
  • Strong judgment / decision-making involving reliability, security, UX, and delivery speed
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions, with experience automating builds, tests, and deployments
  • Familiarity with identity and access management solutions (e.g., Auth0, Okta) and fundamental cloud security concepts

Preferred

  • Experience working in Figma, contributing to design prototypes and collaborating closely with designers
