Background

  • Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement
  •  Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • 15 years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • 4 years of additional SE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to form good relationships with customers and mission partners
  • Reach out to external customers for requirements and understanding of the data and the data needs of the users
  • Ability to critically think through complex data flow problems, break down effort into manageable tasks, and create/maintain scope out of sometimes vague customer requirements
  • Basic understanding of NiFi, should understand flow file attributes or be able to learn it quickly
  • Experience with Military Cryptologic Offices, Tactical Collection Capabilities, Military SIGINT architectures and related data flows

Preferred

  • Experience with TechSIGINT (ELINT, FISINT and PROFORMA) collection
  • Familiar with data formats such as CSV, JSON, PCAP and XML
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare operations, sensors and related data
  • Understanding of tactical datalinks and command and control signals and data architechtures
  • Experience with Intelligence Community
  • Experience with DoD Service Intelligence Centers (such as NASIC)
  • Understanding of DoD – command structures and relationships
  • Experience with customer mission partners​
