Background
- Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect client assets, sensitive healthcare information, and IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability analyses to identify risks, improve security postures, and resolve incidents
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and optimization of security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS, encryption, and access control
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of security professionals, both onshore and offshore, ensuring optimal performance of security systems and tools
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role with a focus on MSP or healthcare IT environments
- At least 2+ years of experience in a leadership role managing security teams
- Experience with cybersecurity regulatory requirements such as HIPAA
Preferred
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS, encryption tools, and VPN
- Proficiency in Microsoft environments and cloud-based security platforms e.g., AWS, azure
- Strong understanding of windows 2016/2012/2008 servers, active directory, SQL, sharePoint, exchange servers, backup technologies, internet/DNS/-mail/communication issues
- Security +, CISM, ISSAP, CISSP certifications
