Background
- Ensure robust and scalable architecture and design of the data infrastructure for a healthcare organization, adhering to best practices in software engineering
- Mentor and guide the forming engineering team, fostering professional development and promoting a collaborative work environment, with a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence within the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather input and prioritize development efforts for data infrastructure enhancements and new applications
Requirements
- BA/BS in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, management information systems, software engineering, software development, data engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7+ years of experience supporting or developing data infrastructure and technology systems with increasing technical and leadership responsibilities
Preferred
- Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud-native architectures
- Expertise with common programming/code languages and data transformation tooling, such as Python, SQL, Apache Spark, dbt, etc.
- Experience working in highly regulated data environments, ideally with prior healthcare or research experience, including familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Experience with collaboration tools (Teams, Slack, Jira, Confluence)
