Background
- Assist with engineering investigations on power and energy systems, energy storage enclosures and support processes in a government organization
- Engineering support and requirements development for electrical, mechanical, controls and mitigation solutions for the identified system and the interfaces of the integrated shipboard environment
- Characterize large-scale battery MCE / WCE, developing failure modes and effects, Li-ion fire mitigation and suppression concepts, prototyping battery-agnostic containment solutions, and examining other alternative energy storage viability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 2 years’ experience
- Experience with developing requirements for systems
- Interim secret clearance with the ability to obtain a secret clearance
Preferred
- Exposure to MBSE
- Develop requirements with energy or power systems
- Experience with design to meet DoD or commercial electrical shipboard and control systemÂ
- Experience with electrical and power distribution characteristics of battery systems
