Background
- Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials
- Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
- Analyze systems and processes, including heat transfer, fluid dynamic and thermodynamic principles for energy efficiency improvements
- Responsible for engineering and/or installation activities within the telecommunications function including engineering, implementation, diagnostics, and operations/user support
- Monitors the operation of Radio Frequency (RF) network systems and transition mediums
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics or physics with 5 – 8 years commensurate experience
- 10 years of experience with radio transmitters, antenna tuning systems, antennas, electromagnetic propagation and allied fields, to include: specialized experience with installation, test and evaluation of VLF/LF submarine broadcast transmitters
- 6 years of experience with high powered radio transmitters, antenna tuning systems, antennas, electromagnetic propagation and allied fields
- 3 years of technical experience in support of installing, modifying, repairing or testing high power radio transmitting systems.
Preferred
- Electrical installation and systems installation knowledge
