Background
- Interfaces with Government, Diamond team, and users to architect and design data warehouse approach and cloud infrastructure with emphasis on Azure implementations
- Leads engineering and administrator activities for cloud-based data solutions
- Develops server and storage virtualization strategy incorporating Microsoft Purview and Advana Data Catalog
- Implements and maintains Zero Trust Data Pillar requirements, ensuring proper data classification, access controls, and security measures
- Engineers cloud environment with focus on data governance and catalog implementation
- Supports Scrum Master in planning and sizing tasks for cloud implementation projects
Requirements
- Bachelor degree + 16 years or Master degree + 14 years experience or 20 years of experience
- Experience analyzing user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications for cloud environments
- Experience providing expert guidance and direction to senior level technicians and engineers on cloud migration and implementation
- Demonstrated expertise with Azure cloud services, particularly related to data management
- Experience with enterprise data governance and security frameworks in cloud environments
Preferred
- Knowledge of data catalog implementation and management, preferably with MS Azure Purview
