Background
- Design electronic circuitry for use in industrial applications including motor drives in a government organization
- Investigate industry trends and adopt new technology
- Generate and execute new product technical specifications, designs and test plans
- Assist in determining project timelines and resources to support the business unit’s long-term vision
- Influence mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing design requirements
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or similar field
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Fundamental knowledge of analog and digital electronic components and their application in industrial products
- Design, analysis, and optimization of industrial electronics for performance, cost and manufacturability
- Knowledge of various communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, RS232, BLE, HART
- Experience with electrical engineering tools; simulation P-SPICE or LT-SPICE, oscilloscopes, function generators
Preferred
- Knowledge in manufacturing processes
- Design/testing experience for EMC, CE/ATEX, CSA
- Basic understanding of embedded development
- Knowledge in oil & gas industry
